  • Leadership skills, particularly servant leadership
  • Stewardship – of heart, mind, and the world we live in
  • Character – to cultivate noble character and integrity
  • Learn how to navigate all the relationships in your life
  • Learn how to thrive in all aspects of life – finance, social, relationships, family, health, personal growth, and spirituality.

BUSINESS:

Financial skills – what you not taught at school
– how to draw up a business plan, how to budget, how to plan for profit, difference between healthy and unhealthy debt, how to focus on gaining assets instead of liabilities etc

  • Business –Entrepreneurship, how to recognize business opportunities, characteristics and skills needed to be an entrepreneur. Engaging with
    a business coach who will add value to your understanding of doing business.
  • Practical /technical skills/ project planning, costing and building.
  • Excel course
  • Healthy organizations – what do they look like
  • Study a course of your choice *not included in our fee

SERVING:

Identifying needs – creating awareness for opportunities to serve and contribute to community.

  • First aid course
  • Learning how to hunt and learning how to bow hunt
  • Learn how to process meat
  • Survival skills – survival camp – and survival knowledge shared
  • Learn how to fly fish
  • Holistic management in Agriculture, highlighting the ecological principles of Alan Savory and seeing all the functioning of nature as a whole. We have been practicing Holistic Regenerative farming since 1997.
  • Basic Xhosa
  • Basic agricultural skills –irrigation, fencing, working with livestock, herding stock , learn how to shear a sheep, milk a cow etc .
  • Develop and encourage Fitness and healthy habits
  • Nutrition and cooking as well as hospitality skills
  • Fitness – obstacle courses etc.
  • Orienteering
  • Public speaking – presentations etc.
  • Hiking- we have 5500 hectares of mountainous terrain, inclusive of our 2 gorges – the Yellowwood Gorge and the Protea gorge up the Elandsberg mountain.
  • Participating in the Annual Grass Rally in Cathcart
  • Amatola Hiking Trail
  • Opportunities to link up with the Endangered Wildlife Trust and assist in collecting of data.
  • Courses offered on different skills by a multitude of skilled people from Hogsback e.g cheese making, sour dough bread making. Tapping in to Homesteading skills.
  • Basic construction/plumbing and electrical skills
  • Basic Mechanics – from how to change a tyre to the basic fundamentals of both the diesel and petrol engines.

We value good healthy food, which is why we have been on the regenerative journey the past 20 years. So, you can be sure we will be serving the best we have to offer, including our Grass-fed meat produce and raw milk.

The closest airport is the King Phalo Airport in East London. We will be offering airport pick ups which will be communicated at the time.
